All practices provide essential medical services to patients for conditions from which recovery is expected as well as management of chronic diseases. Practices also provide additional services such as cervical screening and maternity services. All practices hold contracts with the Health Board to provide enhanced services such as Near Patient Testing which includes monitoring of patients on warfarin or specialised drugs. If practices do not provide a service they will refer the patient appropriately.
